It’s hard to believe that after only four years, the amazing trio: DJs Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso, collectively known as the Swedish House Mafia, have decided to part ways. Given that it only refers to their indefinite hiatus from touring as it was said, that they will continue recording music together, it is still sad news. To bid their fans adieu, they offer the poignant track Don’t You Worry Child.
Released on September 14, 2012, the group’s final single features the voice of Swedish artist John Martin. Don’t You Worry Child managed to express Swedish House Mafia sentiment about letting go and not worrying. The song is the perfect chill out dance song for youthful clubs and indeed invaded the dance charts peaking at #1 on the US Hot Club Dance Songs, the UK Dance and Australia’s ARIA list. Months after its release, it became a club favorite hanging on to #6 of the Billboard Dance Club Play Songs list.
Aside the song’s smooth blend of techno, Don’t You Worry Child has meaningful lyrics that most people would not mind lip-syncing as they move about. In fact, the song is a perfect driving tune that could make you feel relaxed and carefree. With melodies such as this, we can only hope that Swedish House Mafia will get back together soon.
